Lecture title: The Emergence of Catholicism Fundamentalism in the United States

Abstract: The emergence of a Catholic form of fundamentalism after World War II -- long thought a uniquely Protestant form of Christianity -- has emerged as a challenge for the American Church, especially its alliance with the political alt-right during the past two or three decades. The potential for that alliance was there from its emergence in the forties, and the lecture will lay out how that alliance took shape.
